WEEKLY CURRENCY REPORT (03/08/09)
USD-INR:-
Last week USD-INR opened at 48.08 & went up to register the high at 48.63.It then continuously declined to mark the low of week at 47.75 & finally closed the week at 47.75.Thus INR becomes stronger by 0.45 compared to previous week’s closing & gained 0.94%.It is pertinent to note that we had given the resistance 48.70 & support at 47.70 & it made the high of 48.63 & low of 47.75 We are of the view that it will further decline & make a new low below 46.71.For the current week our assessment is that the decline below 47.60 will find the support at 47.10 & 48.35 is resistanc for any upmove.

EURO-USD:-
Ideally it should hit the top in the 1.4720-1.4867 range but in any case it must make one more high above 1.4338 to complete the flat wave structure. However the rise for the last 2 to 3 week is with the waning momentum or laboured rise. Therefore it will inch for 1.47-1.48 very gradually. However we witnessed a strong upsurge on the last working day of previous week. We expect that in the coming week it will make attempt to cross 1.4338 & may touch 1.44-1.45.On the downside we do not see it breaching 1.410.

GBP-USD:-
Last we expected a mild surge towards 1.644 & it exactly done the same by moving closer to 1.6732.However we do not see this crossing 1.68 -1.685 range. On the contrary we foresee a strong downmove to 1.60-1.61 once the current momentum dies down.

USD-JPY:-
Last it made a high of 95.89 whereas we expected it to touch the 96.00.At the same time it did not breach the low of 93.5.For the current week we expect that it may not breach 96.00 & may break 94 & this may lead to find the support at 93.10.
